guvernatorul Indianei se dovedeste a fi destul de abil in a atrage companiile japoneze. Tot in sudul Indianei este o uzina Toyota ( unde fac minivanul Sienna, pick-up-ul Tundra si mega-SUV-ul Sequoia), iar de cand Subaru a intrat in sfera de influenta a Toyotei uzina din Lafayette isi va dubla nivelul de productie prin producerea noii Camry ( uzina din Kentucky unde asambleaza Camry nu mai face fata nici ea).
